The Coach House

Located in the heart of Stratford-Upon-Avon, on Rother Street, it boasts over 475-years of history between its characterful walls. Wonderfully refurbished, the welcoming décor pays tribute to Stratford’s most famous former resident, William Shakespeare as well as incorporating a nod to its owners, the historic Brewing House, Davenports which was established in 1829. You can expect great ales, whilst the attractive central bar is well-stocked with popular spirits and boasts a super cocktail menu which are freshly prepared to order. Choose to dine in the comfy snug or around one of the tables indoors, there’s also a wonderful garden terrace with heaters to the rear, and alfresco tables on warmer days to the front of the pub. The food menu never fails to impress, with a focus on quality, locally sourced ingredients – the pub even boasts its own bespoke sausage made in partnership with The Artisan Butcher. From fully loaded sandwiches to generous sharing platters, wickedly good burgers that are worthy of their own Instagram page, enjoy freshly prepared food that incorporates traditional pub dishes alongside those with a twist. There are tempting vegetarian and vegan dishes all marked on the menu and a dedicated kid’s menu too. The Coach House Sunday Lunch is the talk of the town, with a variety of meats and seasonal veg cooked to perfection, early booking is strongly advised. Family-friendly, four-legged members are most welcome and have treats waiting for them!
