Breathing With the Forest

Breathing with the Forest is an immersive video installation that illuminates the ecosystem surrounding a capinuri tree (Maquira coriacea) in the Colombian Amazon. The installation recreates a real plot of Amazonian forest in its full majesty and astounding detail, revealing the beauty and fragility of these tropical environments, bringing to light the many delicate interactions and relationships that exist between the major kingdoms of life.

Standing within the installation surrounded by the pulsing rhythms of the rainforest you will find that your breath begins to synchronise with the life of the forest as you become connected and part of the forest ecosystem.

Installed in our iconic Adam Hall, with its direct view to the landscape outside, Breathing with the Forest aims to inspire a sense of connection with the natural world.

This installation is included with admission, but will have pre-bookable timeslots. These will be available to book in mid-December.

Marshmallow Laser Feast

MLF is an experiential artist collective, whose work will take you on a multisensory journey in which imagination and information collide.

They explore culture and create conversation about our relationship with the world around us through their work and tell stories that challenge our reality, carving out spaces to expose, explore and expand.

They collaborate with specialists in all disciplines, from coders to poets, chemists and ventriloquists, and ground their work in research.

Whilst blurring the line between art, immersion, XR and film, they bring galleries, museums and public spaces to life.

Their work has been exhibited internationally and has been featured in renowned publications.
