The Big Picture Film Festival returns for it's 7th year with another four days of fantastic film and screen events! This year, the festival will take place from 3rd - 6th September 2026 across Stratford-upon-Avon, including Rother Street Arts House, Holy Trinity Hall, Stratford Youth Hub, The White Swan, Stratford Methodist Church and other participating venues across Stratford-upon-Avon and surrounding villages (TBC).

Theme
This festival's theme this year is "Popcorn & Perspectives", which invites audiences to experience world class films that entertain whilst also opening doors to new ideas, cultures and viewpoints. At its heart, this year’s theme celebrates education, curiosity and encouraging audiences to look beyond the surface and engage with the themes and narratives that shape our understanding of the world. Our programme has also been curated in support of Go All In, the National Year of Reading campaign, bringing page and screen together, highlighting the synergy between literature and film and inspiring more people to (re)discover the joy of reading and make it part of their everyday lives.

As usual, you can also expect plenty of filmmaker Q&As, live scores and thoughtful partnerships with local organisations including Net Zero Stratford, Stratford Youth Collective, Stratford Amnesty Group and Stratford Welcome Here with more to be announced soon!

Our full programme and schedule will be announced soon but you can secure a festival pass NOW to ensure you don't miss out!

This Festival Pass gives you unlimited access across the entire festival programme. Whether you’re visiting for the gala screenings, the hidden indie gems or the atmosphere itself, every corner of the festival is yours to explore.

The festival operates on a Pay-As-You-Feel box office, so there is no financial barrier to attend. Simply pay whatever you can afford for access to the entire festival.

Your Festival Pass will grant you entry to all our screen events unless otherwise stated. As a Festival Pass holder, we will contact you about any exceptions and/or additional benefits.

The Big Picture Film Festival is supported by Stratford Town Trust and Stratford District Council.

We advise you check with the venue regarding any changes to their opening time / availability before leaving home
